Gulshan Kumar's biopic 'Mogul' Might Get A New Name

'Mogul' makers contemplating to change the title of the film

A few weeks back head of music label T-Series, Bhushan Kumar had anunced that he would be producing ‘Mogul’ a biopic on his far  Gulshan Kumar. Ever since film has been making headlines because of its casting.

Later on, actor Aamir Khan hopped on board as co-producer. As per reports, Aamir Khan is reworking on script. t only scripts, but as per reports, makers of film are also contemplating changing title of movie.

Reportedly, since Aamir Khan has become a part of film, details of biopic are being kept tightly under wraps and will be released in a timely fashion. film will be directed by Subhash Kapoor and director has been researching on film from past one-and-a-half years. film will trace Gulshan Kumar's life from his college days to selling juice to becoming game changer in music industry.

Initially, Akshay Kumar was finalised for role of Gulshan Kumar, and his look from film was also unveiled. However, ‘Singh is King’ actor recently revealed that he will longer be a part of film, owing to differences in script. But, when actor was quizzed as to who else could play role of Gulshan Kumar, actor said that one beside him can play role.

For uninitiated, Gulshan Kumar is man behind T-series label. Born to a juice vendor, Kumar changed career path when his family bought a shop selling records and cheap audio cassettes. However, he met with a tragic end in 1997 when he was shot dead in Mumbai. Mumbai underworld organization D-Company was involved in murder. However, in 2001 Abdul Rauf  Merchant aka Raja confessed to committing murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment a year later. Film music composer Nadeem Saifee was also accused of murder charges. Apparently, Dawood Ibrahim and Abu Salem were also planning on killing Kumar as he had failed to pay protection money to D-Company.
