Housefull 4: Akshay Kumar film drops on Diwali, but hits milestone
The much-anticipated Housefull 4, starring Akshay Kumar witnessed a drop on Diwali, but succeeded in hitting the Rs 50-crore mark in the opening weekend.

A superstar, a popular franchise, multiple stars and most importantly, a Diwali release, re were multiple factors that went in favour of Housefull 4. However, makers would’ve definitely expected reincarnation comedy to have done better than numbers it put up in opening weekend. Akshay Kumar-starrer hit Rs 50-crore at box office, but that was after experiencing a drop on Sunday, seemingly because of Diwali festivities. movie, however, is expected to show growth from Monday.

All eyes are w on Monday, as movie is expected to witness a big turnaround, since it a public holiday and most of festivities are over. Tuesday will also be crucial as it is a holiday at some places. It is t clear yet if majorly negative word-of-mouth has played a part in collections till w. future of movie would be clearer only after next two days.
