With three releases back to back this Diwali, the viewers have got a treat. Three big films- Akshay Kumar's Housefull 4, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar's Saand Ki Aankh and Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy's Made In China hit the theatres on the same day. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar’s comic caper opened with around Rs. 19 crores on the first day of its release. According to Taran Adarsh’s recent tweet, Akshay Kumar's film Housefull 4 managed to collect Rs. 19.03 crores on Saturday and Rs. 15.33 crores on Sunday. The film saw a hike of approximately 20% in two days. Housefull 4 amassed a total of Rs. 87.78 crores, leaving behind Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China, that reportedly gathered a nominal box office collection. According to box office reports, Made In China saw an increase in the box office collection specifically on Monday. The first three days of the weekend brought in a collection of Rs. 3.85 crores, while Monday alone saw a massive increase of Rs. 3 crores, bringing the total gross up to Rs. 6.85 crores. The question arises, with Housefull 4 topping the box office charts till now, will the film soon enter the Rs. 100 crore club?
One of the most anticipated films, Housefull 4 is the fourth installmet of the Housefull franchise. Directed and co-written by Farhad Samji, the film stars a power-packed team of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Pandey, Bobby Doel, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda and many more. According to fans’ reviews on social media, the movie takes you on a comical ride, with a series of puns and jokes. The film received mixed reviews from the critics.
