Housefull 4:"No one approaches me for such films," says Rana Daggubati

Rana Daggubati is filled with all the love he has been receiving after his global release Baahubali and Baahubali 2. After these intense films, Rana Daggubati will be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s comedy film Housefull 4 and the actor recently opened up about his role in the movie. Housefull 4 is the fourth sequel of the Housefull franchise and is set for release later this year. After Nana Patekar was dropped from Housefull 4 due to the allegations levelled against him by Tanushree Dutta, Rana Daggubati was brought in as his replacement.
The Housefull 4 cast includes Akshay Kumar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rana Dagubatti, Zoha Rahman, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda, Chunky Pandey, Akash Dabhade, Riteish Deshmukh, Boman Irani, Bobby Deol, Johnny Lever and Mervi Koski.
Rana Daggubati's on how he landed up with Housefull 4:
After Nana Patekar dropped from Housefull 4, Rana Daggubati grabbed the opportunity of doing a comedy movie. The actor recently gave an interview in which he said he had no issues with being a part of the multi-starrer movie. Rana Daggubati has done many diverse roles in his nine-year-long career, but he has never really tried his hand at the comedy genre. Speaking on entering the genre, Rana Daggubati in an interview with a news daily said, "Forget a comedy ensemble film; I have never even done a comedy movie. Nobody asks [approaches] me to be a part of such films; I don't know what image they [makers] have of me."
Speaking on working with the Housefull 4 cast, Daggubatti said, "I never had any issues doing ensemble films, nor has any such thought ever crossed my mind. For me, it's fun to work with actors such as Akshay Kumar. I also worked with Balakrishna (NTR Mahanayakudu) in my last film." Rana also shared his views on the Housefull 4 movie details and how he took up the script. "So when I got a call for the film (Housefull 4), and Sajid (Nadiadwala) and Farhad (Samji) came down to Hyderabad to narrate the story, I was very interested. The story was so funny that I wanted to be a part of it," the actor said.

The actor seemed extremely comfortable about not just entering the comedy film genre, but also being one of many stars in the film. The Housefull 4 cast is a star-studded affair with several actors being part of big commercial films prior to their appearance on the sets of Housefull 4. On asking him about his views on sharing the screen with many stars, the actor said, “They are actors who have done different films, roles, and over the years have taken decisions that have changed their careers. And when you share the screen and time with them, you acquire a lot of knowledge."
Rana Daggubati also has many exciting projects lined up. Amongst the big projects being worked upon right now, Daggubati has Haathi Mere Saathi, Hiranya Kashyap and Virataparvam. He will also be seen sharing the screen space in Bhuj: The Pride Of India, alongside Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Parineeti Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha. Fans are eager to watch the actor in an all-new avatar in the comedy genre.
