IIFA 2019 technical winners list out, Andhadhun wins best screenplay
The 20th edition of the IIFA Awards is being hosted for the first time in India. Recently IIFA has announced the technical winners of 2019 on their website.

The 20th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards is being hosted for the first time in India. Celebrating 20 years of IIFA, this is tagged as the 'homecoming edition' - the birthplace of Indian cinema. The award show will be grand both in terms of glamour and entertainment.
IIFA Rocks, the sidebar event that celebrates the work of people behind the films, is happening on Monday, September 16. It is hosted by Radhika Apte and Ali Fazal. Music composer Amit Trivedi, Salim Sulaiman, Neha Kakkar, Dhvani Bhanushali, Ranjit Barot, Kutle Khan, Jonita Gandhi, and Jassi Gill, and Tulsi Kumar are set to perform at the event.
Recently, IIFA has announced the technical winners of 2019 on their website. They have revealed that 'Andhadhun' dominates at the list by walking away with 4 awards. 'Tumbbad' follows next winning 2 trophies. They have also revealed that Sudeep Chatterjee has won the Award for Cinematography is Padmaavat. Sriram Raghavan; Arijit Biswas; Pooja Ladha Surti; Yogesh Chandekar, and Hemanth Rao jointly won the award for Screenplay in 'Andhadhun' and Akshat Ghildial is got the award for dialogue in 'Badhaai Ho'.

Meanwhile, the main event that will be held on September 18 will be hosted by Kartik Aaryan and Ayushmann Khurrana. This year, the star-studded award ceremony will witness some stellar performances by a host of celebrities including Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal and newbie Sara Ali Khan. The prestigious award night will be broadcasted on Colors Viacom18 for the fifth consecutive year. The IIFA Awards started in London in 2000 and over 20 years it has traveled through 12 countries.
