Acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali made his debut with Socha Na Tha in 2005 and shot to fame with Jab We Met in 2007. Since then, the director continued to deliver multiple hits throughout his career. He is known for his offbeat take on romance, love and life. Here are a few of the best scenes from Imtiaz Ali's films.

Highway

Movies about Stockholm Syndrome are not made that often, but kudos to Imtiaz Ali for giving it a try in his movie Highway. This film also changed Alia Bhatt’s (Veera) perspective as an actor for the fans. From being a captive to becoming a source of redemption for her kidnapper, Mahabir, played by Randeep Hooda, the film takes a sharp twist. The scene from the film where an emotional Mahabir talks to Veera about his childhood and mother while she hums a lullaby for him shows a role reversal in the film at that point.

Tamasha

Although Tamasha had a slow success at the box office, the film was a cinematic gem. The movie depicted the life we aspire to live and the life that we actually lead. Tara breaks off her engagement with Dev telling him that he is not the person she fell in love with, in Corsica. When she later meets him in a café, he seems really sad and angry at himself. The scene carries immense emotions as Agar Tum Saath Ho plays in the background.

This film was an unusual story of love and ambition. College student Janardhan later becomes Jordan is a simpleton who seeks inspiration for the musician inside him to rise. He falls in love with Heer who is set to get married to someone else. Later when the two meet in Prague, sparks fly between them. A lovestruck Jordan tries to confess his love to Heer but she is fighting a deadly illness which makes him paranoid.
