Jealous of girls doing such good work, wish I was younger: Neena Gupta
Neena Gupta says she feels envious of the younger generation of women in the industry, who are getting a chance to play varied parts so early on in their careers

Neena Gupta is thrilled with kind of work coming her way, but at same time actor says she feels envious of younger generation of women in industry, who are getting a chance play varied parts so early on in ir careers. Neena, 60, said she found a new lease of life as an actor with films like "Bhaai Ho", "Mulk", and "Veere Di Wedding".
"I'm very happy that I'm getting such substantial roles. I feel I've got a new lease of life. I feel energetic and happening.
"But I'm also very s, I wish I was much younger w. re are so many platforms, possibilities, so I get jealous of all young girls who are doing such good work," actor told PTI.
In 2017, Neena took to Instagram to ask for work, which eventually led her to bag Anubhav Sinha's "Mulk". actor, however, received widespre acclaim for starring in National Award-winning "Bhaai Ho".

Neena said, "Bhaai Ho" was a happy accident and if film hn't come to her, thing for her would have changed.
"'Bhaai Ho' came to me by chance, if ar actor h done it, I would've been at same place. Films are a business. y take who's working. I won't get a role if I say I want to do that. It depends on how saleable you're at that time."
Post film, while offers have come her way, Neena said she is "realistic" about kind of work which will kck her doors.

"I got offered big roles after 'Bhaai Ho' but if film hn't worked, I wouldn't have gotten. It's business, body is emotional about it. I used to t get work even on TV, but wherever I went, y'd treat me with respect but never offer work," she ded.
