Jigra Box Office Collection: The Alia Bhatt -Vedang Raina starrer hit the big screens on October 11 alongside Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The drama film directed by Vasan Bala narrates the tale of a sibling bond. Despite a stellar cast and a gripping plot, the movie has not been able to impress the audience in cinemas. Despite a week of theatrical run, despite the Dussehra holiday in between, the Alia Bhatt starrer has failed to emerge as a hit.

Jigra box office collection continues to decline in India

Jigra opened to a decent ₹4.55 Cr in the domestic market as per Sacnilk. The film was released in Hindi and Telugu but the Hindi version has driven a major part of the business. While the Vasan Bala directorial saw a slight growth in business in the subsequent days, the film registered a massive dip from the first Monday of release.

Over the first weekend, Jigra raked in ₹16.6 crore, as per Sacnilk. The collections remained under ₹2 crore on the following days. On the second Friday of release, the Alia Bhatt -Vedang Raina film minted ₹1.25 crore. The film's total has amassed a dismal ₹22.5 crore. Trade expert Sumit Kadel took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to predict that the film will close at a lifetime business of  ₹28-30 Cr Nett, making it one of Alia Bhatt's lowest.

Which is Alia Bhatt 's lowest-grossing movie?

Alia Bhatt has been credited with delivering mostly hits at the box office. Out of the 17 theatrical releases, 8 films have grossed over ₹100 crore at the domestic box office. The lowest-grossing film of her career is the Imtiaz Ali directorial Highway (2014) which minted ₹30.61 crore.

However, going by the collections of Jigra so far and the box office predictions it would be safe to assume that the film might beat Highway to become Alia Bhatt 's lowest-grossing film ever. Highway, Shaandaar (2015), Udta Punjab (2016), Dear Zindagi (2016) and Student Of The Year (2012), remain the actress's top 5 lowest grossers.
