Jigra Teaser: Alia Bhatt Will Move Mountains To Rescue Her Brother Vedang Raina In This Action Drama

Jigra Teaser Trailer Out: Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina are gearing up for the release of their movie Jigra. To keep the audience hooked, the makers have been treating them with new posters each day leading to today, September 8. Today (Sunday), the makers have unveiled the teaser trailer of the movie offering a glimpse of an action thriller.

Jigra is an action-thriller with a pinch of emotional drama

The over 2-minute trailer opens up with Alia sitting across a table telling Manoj Pahwa about her troubled past. "God took my mother. Dad took his life. Relatives gave us shelter but charged fortune," she said. However, she interrupts in between saying it's a long story, while her brother has very little time. In the clip, it is shown Alia's brother played by Vedang gets arrested in a foreign country and to save her she is ready to move mountains.

She takes training to fight the cops and eventually blows up the jail to rescue her brother. The clip shows her performing stunts and the special bond the siblings share. She also mouths some powerful dialogue in the trailer. Throughout the video, a remix version of the song Phoolon Ka Taron Ka plays in the background adding an emotional quotient to the trailer.

What else do we know about Jigra?

Helmed by Vasan Bala, the movie is produced by  Apoorva Mehta, Soumen Mishra and Alia Bhatt under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions. Jigra is a tale of a sister who will go to extreme lengths to protect her brother. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on October 11. The film's streaming rights were acquired by Netflix and it will be released after its theatrical run.
