The Dhoom actor is believed to train vigorously with Vinod Channa. He hits the gym four times a week. Reportedly, he abides by the mantra that one should stretch themselves to do a little bit extra every day but not go overboard. He also has a protein-rich diet which consists of egg whites, fruits, toasts and nuts.

John Abraham prefers to keep his lunch and dinner light. He believes in finishing his dinner before 9 pm. According to the reports he has not consumed aerated drinks in the last twenty years. John also keeps cheat meals at bay. Apparently, he abides by a healthy way of eating although he craves Parsi food. His meals consist of constituents like protein, carbohydrates and fatty acids. He also reportedly has his meals after a break of three hours.
According to John, a disciplined lifestyle is the most important thing to build a healthy body. In one of his earlier interviews, he also advised men to focus on strengthening as well as toning their legs. This is because the focus on toning up the legs is often ignored by the majority of the men who are more inclined towards building biceps.
