Kaappaan is one of most anticipated projects of Suriya. It also marks return of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal to Tamil film industry after a brief hiatus. About plot 

Kaappaan is based on a real-life incident of Special Protection Group (SPG). Mohanlal plays role of a Prime Minister in film. Suriya, on or hand, plays role of an SPG officer. Arya plays role of Mohanlal’s son in movie.

Preparing for role, Suriya stayed at SPG camp in Manesar, Haryana. director KV Anand also gared information about SPG by visiting Prime Minister’s office numerous times. This helps one to understand that film will be true to its plot. trailer was packed with action sequences that are totally gripping for audience.
