Saagar
Saagar is a rom-com film starring Rishi Kapoor, Kamal Haasan and Dimple Kapadia and was directed by Ramesh Sippy. In a scene from the film, Dimple Kapadia's character Mona is busy catching a rat in the kitchen, and Kamal's character comes in the frame asking her for a cup of tea. While asking for sugar from Mona, Raja mistakenly mixes rat-poison in his tea. Mona and his father freak out seeing him unconscious and later Raja ends the prank and says he didn't mix the poison in his tea.

Ek Duuje Ke Liye
The film is a tragic love story of Vasu and Sapna played by Kamal Haasan and Rati Agnihotri respectively. Though the film's plot left the audience with a teary eye, a scene from the film added a pinch of comedy. In one of the scenes, the lead characters try to communicate with each other without words due to a wall in between them. The actors start washing clothes and then accidentally tear their clothes. This scene from the film gives a moment of a laughter to the audience.

Chachi 420
Kamal Haasan not only worked as an actor in the film but also produced and directed the film. The rom-com was one of the biggest hits of the year 1997. The film has many comedy scenes featuring Amresh Puri, Om Puri, and Paresh Rawal among others. The climax scene of the film has Jay in Chachi's get up revealing the truth that he was acting as a female nanny to stay close to her only daughter and wife.
