Kamal Haasan is one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema. The Dasavathaaram actor has had an illustrious movie career spanning for 59 years. Over the course of his six-decade career, the Indian 2 had featured in over 130 films in various languages. Besides acting, the veteran actor has also tried his foot in production, writing and directing. The actor has proven to be an extremely versatile and risk-taking actor. He has done several out-of-the-box films such as Abhay, Anbe Sivam, Dasavathaaram amongst many others.
Ilaiyaraaja's concert for Kamal postponed:
Early this month, the Anbe Sivam actor's production house, Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), had announced that they will be holding a three-day celebration in the honour of Ulaga Nayagan completing 60 years in the film industry. The events were to coincide with the Indian 2 actor's birthday that is on November 7. The events were slated to happen from November 7 to November 9.

As per the original schedule, on November 7, Kamal was to unveil a statue of his father in his native Paramakudi. After that, he would be unveiling a statue of his mentor, director K Balachander at his new office in Chennai. Further on the same day, he was also expected to be the part of the special screening of his epic Hey Ram. Further according to the schedule, on November 9 the actor was supposed to see a concert that is a grand musical tribute to 'Ungal Naan - 60 glorious years' by his good friend and music director Maestro Ilaiyaraaja along with the singer SP Balasubrahmanyam celebrating the 60 years of the actor in Indian Film Industry. The event was supposed to be a star-studded event with the gracious presence of Superstar Rajinikanth who shares a 40-year-old friendship with Kamal Haasan.

However, according to reports now, the concert is now been pushed further to November 17, 2019. It is because his RKFI team thought it will be better to postpone the concert because it is better to have the concert inside the stadium rather than event getting washed out due to rains. The event now will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.

Meanwhile, Kamal has wrapped up shooting a part of the Indian 2 schedule in Gwalior and will fly down to Paramakudi tomorrow.
