Kangana Ranaut dazzled as a showstopper at the Grand Finale of the India Fashion Week in Delhi on Saturday. Like they say, saving the best for the last, the actor closed the event in the capital as a showstopper. Some of the most popular fashion designers of the country too were spotted along with the Manikarnika star.
Kangana Ranaut was dressed in a flowy white full-sleeved top with a plunging neckline, traditional silver and stone jewellery, a stylish 01black skirt, and matching heels. She kept her make-up and hair minimal but still impactful.
Some videos of the ramp walk also surfaced on Kangana Ranaut’s fan pages, where she is seen energetically waving her skirt down the aisle, reminding us of one of her most popular roles and National Award-winning performance in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion.
She was also seen posing with the designers like Wendell Rodricks, Manish Arora, Anamika Khanna, among others. Sharing some of the snaps on Instagram, Rodricks wrote, “What a grand finale. The stars, the designers, the models, the choreography, the models, the styling, the set, visuals, sound, lights, action. The energy went through the tent. Bravo all.”
Not just her glamourous modern outfits, Kangana Ranaut had also made headlines recently for wearing a Rs 600 saree that she got from local weavers.
Her sister Rangoli had then written, “On her way to Jaipur today Kangana is wearing Rs 600 sari she picked from Kolkata, she was shocked to know one can get such good organic cotton in this amount and it is heart breaking to see how hard our people work and how little they earn..” (sic)
Professional front
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kangana Ranaut starred and jointly directed Manikarnika earlier this year. The film was based on 1857 freedom fighter Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. The period action drama was a success at the box office, earning close to Rs 100 crore in India.
The actor also has multiple films in her kitty at the moment. One is Panga, a Kabaddi-based film, being directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. She is also gearing up for Thalaivi, a biopic on late actor and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha. Kangana was also seen in an all guns blazing avatar in the first poster of Dhaakad.
