Kangana Ranaut says, Jayalalithaa's life was similar to her life

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut is all set to play the role of Late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha in her biopic, Thailavi. Helmed by AL Vijay, the film will be titled Jaya in Hindi and will reportedly star Sai Pallavi and Samuthirakani in the prominent role. The film is produced by Vishu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh. Jayalalithaa served as the CM of Tamil Nadu for almost 14 years and was an actor before entering into politics.

'Jayalalitha’s life was similar to mine', says Kangana

Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her acting skills, is currently busy preparing her role as former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha. When asked about the biopic, the actor said she is feeling honoured to be a part of the film. Kangana always wanted to be a part of the regional film. She was waiting for the good script since long, and this film just came her way. When she heard the script, she found her story very similar to Jayalitha's story. She found many similarities between both and hence decided to say yes to the film.

She further said that she will begin shoot for her role as soon as she wraps up Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s directorial Panga. As per reports, the actor has been spotted taking Bharatnatyam classes for a grand song of the film. The song is been choreographed by well known South Indian choreographer Gayathri Raghuram. According to media reports, Kangana will also learn Tamil for the film, but if she fails to learn then, the makers will dub it.

Filmography of Kangana Ranaut

The actor made her debut with 2006 film, Gangster, for which she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best for Female Debut. Ranaut featured in several successful films like Queen, Woh Lamhe, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, the romantic comedy sequels- Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. She also appeared in Tamil film named Dhaam Dhoom. The Manikarnika actor was last seen in Judgemental Hai Kya, co-starring with Rajkummar Rao.
