Kangana Ranaut's spat with a PTI journalist during a promotional event for the film 'Judgementall Hai Kya' has intrigued a massive controversy with Entertainment Journalists Guild of India deciding to boycott the actress. Following the same, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri came forward in support of Kangana questioning the validity of the Guild that banned the Bollywood diva. In a series of Twitter posts, Agnihotri calling the organization fake and compared them 'Urban Naxals'.

"Has anyone from media asked about the authenticity of this fake Guild of Entertainment Journalists which banned #KanganaRanaut? Did any entertainment journalist check that its twitter handle was created just 1 day after the spat with her? This is how #UrbanNaxals operate." he wrote in a consicutive post.

Further accusing the media of being misogynistic, in a post, 'The Tashkent Files' director wrote,, " I have never met #KanganaRanaut and it’s not about her. It’s about the credibility of media. Can they ever boycott big male stars? Even if they are slapped? Do you see how they run a mafia? If they have a right to scrutiny us, then it’s our right to expose such gangsters."

Here's the post:

Members of the Guild demanded a public apology from both Kapoor and Ranaut, journalists present at Tuesday's meeting said. "We, as a guild, have collectively decided to boycott Ms. Ranaut and not give her any media coverage," the delegation said in its letter to Kapoor, adding that the boycott will not affect the film or the rest of the cast.

The members said in the letter that Ranaut had lashed out at the journalist even before he could complete the question he was asking at the press conference to promote the film on the pretext that he was running a "smear campaign" against her.

Ranaut had also accused Rao of writing negatively about her film 'Manikarnika'. The journalist denied the allegations and the actor's claim that he personally messaged her and spent three hours in her vanity van. He said he met the actor briefly for an interview and there were no personal messages.
