Kangana Ranaut practises Bharatnatyam in Manali for Thalaivi

Kangana Ranaut has her slate full of films. She has also been taking Bharatnatyam lessons and stirring through long and tedious prosthetics sessions as she is all set to start shooting for Jayalalithaa’s biopic, titled Thalaivi. The actor has been seemingly preparing hard for the upcoming movie. She is currently in Manali along with the team of Thalaivi. The film is expected to be one of the biggest films of 2020 and Kangana is all set to deliver a strong role and do justice to the character. In a recent video that has been shared on the actor’s team-managed Instagram profile, she is seen in the midst of her dance rehearsals for the film.
Kangana preparations for Thalaivi
Kangana Ranaut is seen preparing hard to get into the skin of her character. From learning Tamil to taking dance lessons, she is showing utter dedication towards being in the shoes of late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa. Kangana's team has been actively sharing pictures of her preparations for the movie Thalaivi. Her team also shared a picture where she is seen sitting on a couch reading her script. They captioned the picture as "Kangana Ranaut preparing for Thalaivi is all of us doing all-nighters before exams."

In the video, that was posted on November 5, 2019, Kangana is seen taking Bharatnatyam lessons from her choreographer. She is seen doing some classical steps with ‘chakras’ of Bharatnatyam. The video was captioned, “The queen never rests. Rehearsals are in full swing for #thalaivi in Manali. Cannot wait for this epic saga!!”

Meanwhile, Thalaivi is in trouble as Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa allegedly approached the Madras High Court to put a stay on the film. As per reports of a leading daily, Deepa stated in her affidavit that the director of the movie did not take her consent for the film. Deepa feels that certain facts that would be presented in the movie may represent the late politician in a bad light and hence wants the court to ensure that the filmmaker is stating the right facts.

Thalaivi is directed by A.L.Vijay and the cast of the movie includes Kangana Ranaut, Ashutosh Rana, Prakash Jha, and Sameera Reddy. The film is slated to hit the theatres in 2020.
