Kangana's 'The Incarnation: Sita' team doing 'intensive research' through Puranas, Vedas
Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut is currently gearing up for her role in the much-awaited film The Incarnation SITA, which will be directed by Alaukik Desai.

Months after Kangana announced Incarnation: Sita, its production designer discusses with a leing daily, how team will build lavish sets of Mithila from scratch.
For Narendra Rahurikar, building world of a mythological drama is far more challenging. realisation dawned on him as he began work on period drama, Incarnation: Sita, which sees Kangana Ranaut in titular role. Source from creative team says that Alaukik Desai’s directorial venture traces Sita’s journey before she married Lord Ram. “ film will focus on values of courage, dedication and purity that were embodied by Sita, daughter of earth and opted daughter of King Janaka of Mithila. As oldest parts of Ramayana date between fifth and sixth century BCE, team is doing intensive research of ancient scriptures. Recce for movie is underway to find perfect location in India to construct huge sets of Mithila and or ancient cities.”

Rahurikar is no stranger to period dramas, having worked on television show, Ahilyabai Holkar, and Bhuj: Pride of India (2021). He, however, mits that Incarnation: Sita demands a deep dive into period. “All mythology sets are challenging as y need tremendous creativity. re are no real references or materials available from era. So, we have to do our research through Puranas, Vedas and granthas to ensure we are doing justice to this piece of history.”
brief given by director was simple—to design film as “a mega mythological saga”. Rahurikar ds, “We are currently in conceptualisation and ming stage. Once that is complete, designing will begin. Each element of production will be me keeping story, aestics and periodic sensibilities in mind.”
