Kartik Aaryan: Is the Pati Patni Aur Woh actor the new Akshay Kumar?

Kartik Aaryan has emerged as a bonafide superstar in Bollywood lately. Even though he was in industry for a short while, with Pyaar Ka Punchnama series, actor shot to superstardom with 2018 blockbuster, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. After release of film, Kartik has bagged a lot of interesting film projects with some of biggest banners in Bollywood. Recently, it has been rumoured that Kartik will replace Akshay Kumar in Hera Pheri 3.

Cast for Hera Pheri 3
Akshay Kumar was part of previous instalments of Hera Pheri franchise. However, he did t return for third instalment, which was anunced in 2015 with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan as new entrants, along with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. However, film was shelved after writer-director of film, Neeraj Vora, passed away in 2017. But w, according to a media outlet, makers have revived film and began talks with Kartik Aaryan, who loved idea of film.

This is t first time that Kartik Aaryan will star in a franchise that was helined by Akshay. A few months ago, it was anunced that Kartik would star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a sequel to much-loved 2007 horror-comedy that starred Akshay Kumar. sequel features Kiara vani in le role and will be directed by Anees Bazmee. Filming recently began and film is scheduled to release July 31, 2020.

What is next for Kartik Aaryan?
actor is gearing up for release of his next romantic-comedy, Pati Patni Aur Woh. A remake of 1978 film of same name, film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday in le and is directed by Mudassar Aziz. Kartik will also feature in film, Dostana 2. Produced by Dharma Productions, film also features Janhvi Kapoor and newcomer Lakshya and is directed by Collin D'Cunha.
