Kartik Aaryan to star in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' opposite Alia Bhatt?

Kartik Aaryan is on a roll after the commercial success Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety which crossed the 100-crore-mark at the box office and was equally loved by the audiences. The actor gained a lot of popularity after the film and his next release Luka Chuppi also was a commercial hit at the box office. Kartik has emerged as one of the most popular actors of contemporary times with four movies in his kitty.

Kartik Aaryan to star in Gangubai Kathiawadi?

Recently, Kartik Aaryan was spotted at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office and people were quick to take it as a hint of their collaboration. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently working on his next project titled Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia Bhatt has been reportedly roped for a role in the film and Kartik Aaryan was rumoured to be cast as the protagonist of the film.

But, according to sources, these rumours are baseless and Kartik will have to wait a little more to work with one of the most celebrated directors of the country. However, the Luka Chuppi actor has multiple films that he is working for. Kartik will next be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. Kartik’s look from the film went viral and also was a big meme material recently. The actor himself shared some of the memes on his Instagram handle.

Apart from Pati Patni Aur Woh, he will also be seen in the second instalment of the hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Kartik will be seen playing Akshay Kumar’s role in the film. He will also be seen in Dostana 2 alongside Janhvi Kapoor which will be produced by Karan Johar. Aaryan will be seen with his rumoured girlfriend Sara Ali Khan in a film tentatively titled Love Aaj Kal 2, directed by Imtiaz Ali.
