Prime Minister Narendra Modi had anunced Janta Curfew a few days ago. He had requested all citizens to observe March 22 as Janta Curfew, where citizens were asked to be home quarantined and step out of ir balconies at 5:00 PM to ring bells, clap or bang utensils. first celebrity to tweet about Janta Curfew was evergreen singer- Lata Mangeshkar. She took to her social media on March 22 and wrote: "Namaskar. I thank all of those doctors, nurses, hospitals and ir staff, our police, municipal employees, and our capable government who protect us all, and greet m humbly." (translated) Besides singer, many prominent Bollywood celebrities took to social media to lend ir support for Janta Curfew.
