Model-turned-actor Kriti Sanon quickly created a niche in the industry for herself, according to audiences. Kriti has managed to impress the audience with her acting skills and on-screen presence. The actor forayed into Bollywood with Sabir Khan’s romantic action drama Heropanti in 2014 and since then she has delivered many hits. Here are some of the lesser-known facts about Kriti:
She received a Dadashaheb Phalke Excellence Award
Kriti Sanon added another feather to her cap last year. She received a lot of appreciation for her performance in Bareilly Ki Barfi. Testimony to that was the awards and accolades she was bestowed with. In 2018, the actor won the Dadashaeb Phalke Excellence Award for a memorable performance in a lead role in her film Bareilly Ki Barfi.
She holds an Engineering degree
Kriti Sanon holds a Bachelors's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. She attended the Delhi Public School in RK Puram. She completed her Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida.
She comes from a well-educated background
Kriti is part of a well-educated family. Her father, Rahul Sanon, is a chartered accountant while Geeta Sanon, her mother, is a professor at the Delhi University. Kriti has a younger sibling named Nupur. They reportedly share a close bond together and Nupur is often seen making appearances with her sister at various events and gatherings.
She is a trained classical Kathak dancer
Not many are aware that apart from other dance forms, Kriti is also a trained, classical Kathak dancer. She is yet to flaunt her Kathak skills on the silver screen. Kriti is also known to be a fitness freak and works out on a regular basis.
Bollywood was not her debut
Heropanti was not her first film. She made her on-screen debut with a Telugu psychological thriller Nenokkadine. Her performance received much appreciation by film critics. Her chemistry with reel-life co-actor Mahesh Babu was also much appreciated.
Kriti has a sweet tooth
Kriti believes that as an actor and model, it is very important to maintain oneself, and Kriti manages it smoothly. In an interview, she mentioned that she loves indulging in desserts, especially chocolates and Gajar ka Halwa. But she tries to compensate for it with gruelling work-out sessions.
