Supreme Court allows CBI probe 

Supreme Court on August 19 prounced a verdict in plea filed by Rhea Chakraborty, allowing CBI investigation into death of Sushant Singh Rajput. verdict was prounced just minutes after single-judge bench assembled. top court also shut all doors for Maharashtra Government by turning down ir option of challenging judgment and directed m to cooperate with CBI inste. Earlier Justice Hrishikesh Roy held two hearings into Rhea's plea seeking transfer of case from Patna to Mumbai.

Enforcement Directorate (ED) is alrey investigating financial angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's case and has interrogated Rhea Chakraborty, her bror Showik Chakraborty as well as her business manr Shruti Modi. All three have been quizzed by ED on multiple occasions and might be summoned again.

Sushant Death Case

On June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput was found de at his Bandra residence. case was investigated by Mumbai Police and statements of 56 people were recorded. His death was termed 'suicide' by Mumbai Police. Dissatisfied with investigation, Sushant's far filed an FIR with Bihar Police against Rhea Chakraborty and ors for abetment to suicide, cheating and conspiracy.

Following this, Rhea Chakraborty filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking transfer of FIR filed by Bihar Police in Sushant Singh Rajput's case to Mumbai. While Bihar Police investigated case and recommended a CBI investigation. Rhea Chakraborty opposed CBI probe even after she herself took to social media to request Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a CBI probe into death of Sushant Singh Rajput on July 16.
