Kriti Sanon's 'Mimi' will wait to resume shoot amid COVID-19 outbreak, reveals director

Recently, Laxman Utekar, director of an upcoming film Mimi, opened up about resuming work as a schedule of film is yet to be shot. In an interview with a reing news daily, Laxman Utekar gave an insight into remaining portion and talked about Kriti San starrer. Interestingly, while giving an insight into shooting schedule, Laxman Utekar stated that shooting of remaining portion of Mimi is close to five days. Elaborating about same, he furr ded that it includes filming of a song and a few scenes. However, authorities are giving permission to resume shoots, Laxman Utekar has  plan to re-start shoot anytime soon. Stressing on fact that number of COVID-19 cases in Maharastra is increasing, cinematographer-turned-director said that he does t want to call team on set in this situation.

Giving a sneak-peek into his self-quarantine days, Laxman said that he has been editing movie in interim to make up for lost time. In his furr conversation, Luka Chuppi director opened up about subject of his film. Laxman said that film will educate masses about surrogacy while tackling misconceptions around it. He stated that with film, audience will get complete clarity on surrogacy. To conclude his conversation, he said that though plot of film will be centred on surrogacy, soul of film will be bond between two mors.

Talking about Mimi, upcoming comedy-drama is an aptation of 2011's Marathi film, Mala Aai Vhhaychy. Along with Kriti San, film will also feature Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar. Kriti San will be seen playing character of an aspiring actor from a small town, who will end up being a surrogate mor for a couple.
