One of the biggest hits of the 90s, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai has completed its 21 years, on October 16, 2019. Love, friendships, innocence and honesty all these emotions and traits were portrayed in the movie. Anjali became a household name and every parent at that time wanted to name their daughter Anjali. But Karan Johar, in a recent interview, confessed that the movie was unusually silly. He also stated that every element individually seemed silly but that it was written with so much conviction that it all made sense as a movie. 1: KJo wanted Rani Mukherjee’s voice to be dubbed:
Karan Johar felt that Rani Mukherjee’s voice had a husky tone and was not suitable for Tina’s role. But later Rani’s voice became the signature for her Tina’s role. Rani Mukherjee was reportedly not KJo’s first choice for Tina’s character, it is said that he wanted Twinkle Khanna to play the role but she rejected it. Later, Aditya Chopra apparently recommended Rani to KJo as Adi was impressed with Rani’s acting in her debut Raja ki Aayegi Baarat. Rani was just 19-year-old during the production of KKHH.

2: Kajol got injured while shooting:
While shooting for the song Yeh Ladka hai Deewana, Kajol seriously injured herself. She fell from the bicycle during the sequence. Reportedly, Kajol also lost her consciousness after she fell. According to industry sources, the fall was so bad that Kajol also temporarily lost her memory. Later, on a chat show, Kajol also admitted that Shah Rukh Khan had even convinced Kajol that she is a junior artist during the memory lapse.

3: Karan Johar was mean to Sana Saeed:
Sana Saeed, who played the character of little Anjali refused to use glycerine for emotional scenes. Karan Johar was particularly mean to her before her emotional scenes to make her cry. Her acting was appreciated a lot by the audiences. She was and still is referred to as Anjali by many.

Parzaan Dastur who played the Sardar boy on screen did not even say his iconic dialogue ‘Tussi jaa rahe ho? Tussi na jaao’. This dialogue was dubbed by another child artist Kaivalya Chheda. But the boy was very much close to Shah Rukh Khan.
