Laal Kaptaan: How is the Saif Ali Khan starrer fairing so far?

Laal Kaptaan has been screening the theatres all over India since October 18, 2019. The movie stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Zoya Hussein, and Deepak Dobriyal. It is directed by Navdeep Singh. Saif Ali Khan plays the role of a Naga Saadhu named Hunter in the movie. 

Laal Kaptaan's collections from the past five days 

After five days of its release, this Saif Ali Khan starrer has experienced a lesser footfall. The box office numbers of the movie do not look promising for the movie’s success. According to Box Office India, the movie collected around 50 lakhs approximately. On Saturday, the movie saw an increase in collections only up to 10 lakhs, reaching 60 lakhs on the weekend.

Sunday also brought significant disappointment in the collections. On Sunday i.e., on the third day after the release, the collections were just 65 lakhs approximately. The dawn of Monday morning seemed to be very unlucky for the film as the collections took an extreme dip. The fourth-day collections were just 25 lakhs.

In total, Laal Kaptaan has only collected 2 crores so far. Laal Kaptaan was released alongside Ghost and Maleficent – Mistress of Evil. Maleficient collected a total of 4 crores till date. Laal Kaptaan is doing better than Ghost, which has only collected 1.6 crores.

Laal Kaptaan traces the story of a Naga Saadhu played by Saif Ali Khan. His character journeys across Bundelkhand in a quest for revenge. There is injustice committed in his past life and now Hunter (Saif) is searching for the person who is responsible for it. According to fan tweets and reactions, the movie is excellent when it comes to the cinematography and acting of all the artists. What reportedly lacks is the pace in the story. Saif Ali Khan will be next seen in Jawaani Jaaneman and Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior.
