Laal Kaptaan: Was the Saif Ali Khan starrer named Hunter previously?

much-anticipated movie Laal Kaptaan is on brink of release. movie stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, Zoya Hussain, Saurabh Sachdeva, Manav Vij and Henry Douthwaite. Lootera star Sonakshi Sinha will have a cameo appearance in movie. It is directed by Navdeep Singh.

According to a newspaper daily, movie was reportedly named Hunter when plans of movie began. Hunter is name of Saif Ali Khan’s character in movie. Saif will be playing role of a Naga Shu. Naga Shus are followers of Lord Shiva who live as outcasts and smear ash on ir bodies. trailer shows a Saif Ali Khan donning a red coat with a white dhoti. It seems that Saif’s look inspired change of film's name as he looks like a ‘Laal Kaptaan’.

Saif’s character is portrayed as very dangerous and fearless in three-part trailer of movie. third trailer titled Chapter Three- Revenge dresses how revenge plot of  movie will progress.  audience also gets a glimpse of Saurabh Sachdeva and Manav Vij's characters. Co-producer Aanand Rai, in an interview, called Laal Kaptaan a movie that it will create a new genre and narrative style.

Saif Ali Khan has his kitty full of upcoming movies. After Laal Kaptaan, Saif will be seen in Jawaani Jaaneman which stars Tabu and Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia F. He will also be playing a role in Arjun Kapoor’s upcoming historical flick Tanaji: Unsung Warrior. He also has Dil Bechara and Bhoot Police lined up as his upcoming movies.
