Labour Day, Maharashtra Day, Gujarat Day: Here’s how Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Urmila Matondkar, other stars conveyed their thoughts about the occasions

As seen a few days back when numerous festivals like Tamil New Year, Baisakhi and Ram Navami were celebrated on the same day, May 1 marked Labour Day, Maharashtra Day and Gujarat Day.

As seen a few days back when numerous festivals like Tamil New Year, Baisakhi and Ram Navami were celebrated on the same day, May 1 marked Labour Day, Maharashtra Day and Gujarat Day. Twitter was abuzz with messages from celebrities on the three occasions and many like Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Urmila Matondkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Kamal Haasan and many others celebrities took convey their greetings to fans on the occasion. 

Aamir, who’s Paani Foundation works for the mission of water conservation in Maharashtra, posted videos of ploughing the ground, ‘Mahashramdhaan’ in the interiors of the state to convey wishes for both the occasions of Maharashtra Day and Labour Day.

Amitabh Bachchan also posted a message in Marathi about brave story of the state of Maharashtra on the occasion.

Madhuri and Urmila shared their beautiful pictures in Maharashtrian get-ups to express their pride of belonging to the state. The ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl also conveyed her greetings for Labour Day,

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar while conveying her wishes for Maharashra Day stated that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj always desired the progress of the state and the country. 

Actor Kamal Haasan posted a message in Tamil conveying his greetings for Labour Day.

Other South stars Siddharth, Amala Paul too shared important messages for Labour Day. 

Sidharth Malhotra thanked the cast and crew of a movie that works hard to bring the moments alive on screen.

Ekta Kapoor wrote how it might be a holiday for the world, but not for those who want to make a make it a workout and work catch up day! 

Shreyas Talpade was among the others who wished his fans for Maharashtra Day with a video also featuring Aftab Shivdasani. Madhur Bhandarkar also conveyed his wishes while Ashoke Pandit tweeted his greetings for Gujarat Day.
