Laila Majnu Re-Release: 'Qais' Avinash Tiwary Watches Film With Fans In Mumbai, Video Goes Viral

Laila Majnu was re-released on August 9 and has crossed all its previous box office collections. The film was originally released on September 7, 2018. It is directed by Sajid Ali and presented by Imtiaz Ali, featuring Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri. Although it faced challenges during its original theatrical run, it has received significant praise on social media over time. While the film continues to screen in theatres, a viral video has emerged of Avinash Tiwary watching the movie with fans at a cinema hall in Mumbai.

Since the 2018 romantic drama was re-released earlier this month, many videos from theatres and people’s reactions to it have gone viral on social media. One such video, shared on Instagram by Laila Majnu director Sajid Ali, has already received over seven million views.

In the video, Avinash Tiwary is seen sitting among the audience in a theatre in Navi Mumbai, watching his own film and the crowd's response. At the end of the film, Avinash, who plays Qias, stands up and thanks the audience. The crowd, already enchanted by the film, was thrilled to see Avinash in person.

The comments section of the post was flooded with comments like "wholesome" as social media users seized the opportunity to praise Avinash’s outstanding portrayal of Qais in the movie

Laila Majnu Re-Release surpasses original box-office collection

According to Sacnilk, the Sajid Ali directorial minted approximately ₹70 lakh gross collection on its first Monday (4th day), which is almost three times what it earned on its opening day, which was ₹25 lakh. 

The total collection of the movie is now approximately ₹2.85 crores gross in 4 days which is already higher than the film's first week total during its original run. So far, it has collected between ₹5-6 crore at the ticket window after its re-release.
