Lata Mangeshkar on singing a song in bathroom
According to an entertainment portal, re had been rumours about how song Pyar Kia Toh Darna Kya was sung in a bathroom to get an echo effect. techlogy to make echo effects was t available back in year 1960 when film Mughal-E-Azam was produced. This paved way to rumours. However, se rumours turned out to false. In an interview with a famous talk show host, Mangeshkar went on to clear air around se rumours.
Mangeshkar said that only way to get echo effect right was to record song at three different places and n overlap recordings. She went on to say that she first sang song in a room and n moved to a hall. She n finally moved to a room where some recording devices were brought in, but ne of se rooms was a bathroom.

Mughal-E-Azam is an epic historical drama film. It was directed by K. Asif in year 1960 and was produced by Shapoorji Pallonji. film featured actor Prithviraj in role of Emperor Akbar, Madhubala as Anarkali, Durga Khote in role of Maharani Jodha Bai, and Dilip Kumar in role of Prince Saleem. film went on to become a box-office hit and earned praises from critics and fans alike.

It was composed by Naushad and penned by Shakeel Badayuni. set of this song was reportedly inspired by Sheesh Mahal of Lahore Fort.
