Veteran actor Viju Khote, best known for his portrayal of iconic dacoit Kalia in 1975 hit venture 'Sholay' and Robert in 'Andaz Apna Apna' passed away on Monday morning. The actor who was 77 years old suffered multiple organ failure and died peacefully in his sleep at the residence. As the news surfaced, several Bollywood stars came forward to mourn Viju Khote's sad demise. Many of them took to social media and paid tribute to the departed soul.

Ajay Devgn pays homage to Viju Khote
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn took to social media and remembered the industry veteran. In a Twitter post, he said that "actors like Viju Khote were institutions by themselves." and0 that their "large body of work will always be remembered." Ajay Devgn further stated that he considers himself fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to have worked with him on quite a few films.

He had made an everlasting impact in the cult Marathi film, 'Ashi Hi Banva Banvi.' He has been active in theatres and in the TV industry, and is noted for his role in the serial 'Zabaan Sambhal Ke.'
