Rani Mukherji is a popular name in the Indian Film Industry. Mukherji has delivered impressive performances in films like Kuck Kuch Hota Hai, Hitchki, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Badai and many more. The actress is now back with another sequel of the Mardaani series. Mardaani 2 is directed by Gopi Puthran and will release on December 13, 2019.‬ Since then, Rani Mukherji has been extremely busy with the promotions of her film.

Rani Mukherji was recently spotted in Kolkata for the promotions of her upcoming film, Mardaani 2. For the promotions of this movie, Rani was spotted donning a monochrome saree. Rani Mukherji looked ethereal in this baby pink and black silhouette. She completed her look with a pair of black square-rimmed sunglasses. The trailer of the film Mardaani 2 recently released and Rani's fans have been going in a frenzy since then. Rani Mukherji will play the role of a tough cop, named Shivani Shivaji Roy who fights sexual crimes against women. The film is produced by YRF and is one of the most awaited films of the year.

Mardaani 2 is set in Rajasthan’s Kota this time which is also known as the hub of education. Initially, actor Tahir Raj Bhasin, who played the role of the super enigmatic criminal, was cast. However, the villain in the film, Mardaani 2 has yet not been revealed. Previously in an interview, Rani had revealed that the villain in the new film is a thousand times more dreadful than the previous one. Rani's fans will be seeing her in this film after her critically acclaimed flick, Hichki.
