After Ek Villain, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh are all set to star opposite each other once again as antagonists in the upcoming movie Marjaavaan. Newbie Tara Sutaria will be romancing Sidharth Malhotra. The movie is an action-drama with love at its centre. The poster and teaser of Marjaavaan promise a violent love story with a similar tagline like Ek Villain, “Ishq mein marenge bhi maarenge bhi”.
Watch the teaser of Marjaavaan here:
The movie boasts of an ensemble cast with Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh pitted against each other, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh. Everybody is expecting a lot from the duo, Sidharth-Riteish, who had a huge box office success for Ek Villain. Expectations are also high from director Milap Zaveri after Satyameva Jayate starring John Abraham, which had also made huge numbers at the box office. Nikkhil Advani is once again collaborating with Bhushan Kumar’s T-series to back up Milap’s project,

We have together backed Milap’s earlier film and are confident of this family entertainer. Apart from an engaging story, the film will boast of a wonderfully curated musical score to highlight the love story, says Bhushan Kumar
Marjaavaan seems to have strong dialogues and intense drama, something that is expected from the director. Sidharth and Riteish Deshmukh have interesting looks in the movie, each in a ruffian getup. Riteish is said to be playing a dwarf. Nikkhil also says that Tara’s character is like a USP of the plot and adds freshness and excitement to the movie. A lot of red tint to the posters seems to suggest that love and blood will be in equal proportions in the movie.

Release date clashes
Marjaavaan, which went on floors last December, was earlier slated to release on 2nd October, going for a Dussehra release. The movie also has a significance of Raavan to the plot, says Nikkhil. However, the date was clashing with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s upcoming movie, War. It was then pushed back to November 22nd but was again clashing with Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala. The producers wanted a solo-release for Marjaavaan, further changed the date to November 8th after much deliberation.

Sidharth Malhotra recently had a dud at the box office with the Prashant Singh directorial, Jabariya Jodi also starring Parineeti Chopra. He is currently working on the biopic of Kargil hero, Vikram Batra which is slated to release sometime in 2020. Sidharth's upcoming movies include SherShaah, Slingshot, Rajneeti 2 and Aashiqui 3. He seems to have his hands full at the moment. Riteish Deshmukh is also working on multiple projects like Housefull 4 and Baaghi 3 which are slated to release in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
