Call it a co-incidence or not, Marilyn Monroe and Nargis Dutt were both born on June 1, three years apart.  On their birth anniversary on Saturday, fans across the world remembered the Hollywood legend and the 'Mother India' star. For the latter, the best tribute came from her son Sanjay Dutt as he posted a lovely throwback picture to wish her.

Dutt Sr would’ve turned 90 on Saturday and the ‘Kalank’ star shared an adorable snap of his mother playing with him and his sister Namrata on his back. The actor captioned the post, “Memories never fade! Happy Birthday Mom ♥️.” 

Sanjay’s daughter Trishala, wife Maanayata were overwhelmed and sent their love to the mother-son duo.

Several other celebrities like Manish Malhotra, Ameesha Patel and Dia Mirza were left love-struck with the decades-old moment. 

It is a well-known fact that Sanjay was extremely close to his mother, something that was one of the highlights of Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ that released last year.

Sanjay had shared another throwback picture of the entire family also including younger sister, politician Priya Dutt earlier this week, on the occasion of his father, veteran actor-director-politician Sunil Dutt’s 14th death anniversary. The actor had captioned the post, "The pillars of our family! I miss you Mom & Dad ♥️."
