The 2018 vigilante thriller, Satyamev Jayate, starred John Abraham and Manoj Bajyapee in the lead roles. One of the most popular songs of 2018 was Dilbar, which featured in the film. The 2018 version was a recreation of the original Dilbar, sung by Alka Yagnik and composed by Nadeem-Shravan for the 1999 film, Sirf Tum. While Sushmita Sen performed the original number, the new version was picturised on Nora Fatehi. Dilbar became one of the most-viewed Bollywood songs on YouTube, with cumulative views touching 1.2 billion. The new version was sung Neha Kakkar and recreated by Tanishk Bagchi.

Haiya Ho features in Milap Zaveri's latest directorial, Marjaavaan. The violent revenge drama stars Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, Rakul Preet and Riteish Deshmukh as the primary antagonist. One of the songs from the film is Haiya Ho, sung by Tulsi Kumar and Jubin Nautiyal and recreated by Tanishk Bagchi. It is a remake of the original Haiya Ho, which featured in the 1988 Feroz Khan directorial, Dayavan.

The soundtrack of Marjaavaan is a mix of music remixes as well as original romantic numbers. One of the most popular original songs from the album of Marjaavaan is Tum Hi Aana. The romantic song is sung by Jubin Nautiyal, composed by Payal Dev with lyrics written by Kunaal Vermaa. It has already emerged as one of the most popular Bollywood songs of 2019.
