Milind Soman is celebrating his 54th birthday today, November 4. Milind Soman, then a supermodel is now a fitness inspiration for many and an active voice to promote breast cancer awareness among women. The actor who was first seen in Alisha Chinnai’s music video has come a long way in his acting career. On the occasion of Milind Soman’s birthday here some of the best movie performances to date.

1.  Gandha

This 2009 Marathi film directed by Sachin Kudalkar showcases three different stories that concur on the sense of smell in three different ways. In the film, Milind Soman plays the role of an HIV+ patient who is dealing with his estranged wife. Milind Soman successfully portrayed the role of this HIV+ patient who by the end of the film realises that he has lost his sense of smell.

2.  Bheja Fry

This 2007 film which featured stellar comic chemistry between actors Vinay Pathak and Rajat Kapoor also featured Milind Soman as part of the lead cast. In the film, Milind Soman played the role of Rajat Kapoor wife’s ex-boyfriend Anant Ghoshal. Even in the presence of seasoned actors like Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, and Ranvir Shorey, Milind Soman managed to nail his comic timing and add a twist to the tale.

3.  Astu

Astu is a 2015 Marathi film directed by ace director Sumitra Bhave. In the film, Milind Soman played the role of a man who is looking for his lost father-in-law who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Milind Soman was successful in playing the role of a supportive husband while also dealing with the shift in family dynamics after his father-in-law goes missing.

4. Bajirao Mastani

Bajirao Mastani is considered to be one of the finest films of ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Even though the film majorly revolves around the love story between Peshwa Bajirao and the princess of Bundelkhand Mastani, the supporting cast of the film also delivered some of the best performances. Milind Soman’s role as Ambaji Pant Purandare was a silent supporter of Bajirao while also witnessing his devastation. Milind Soman’s portrayal of the character was also noticed by the critics and gained praise from them.
