Mira Rajput to venture into films as an actor? Shahid Kapoor answers

Right from the time it was revealed that Shahid Kapoor is going to get married to a ‘20-something’ at that time, there has been buzz around Mira Rajput. From Mira being a student then and how the pair got to know each other, every small detail had made headlines then. Five years later, Mira has welcomed two children with Shahid, but the buzz continues to remain. After Mira shot for an advertisement in 2016, there has also been speculation on if she will take a plunge into acting. Now, Shahid Kapoor has revealed that he has left the decision to his wife and that she’ll be more at a position to figure it out after most of the responsibilities related to their children are taken care of.

Shahid clears the air 

When asked about Mira Rajput Kapoor’s plan to venture into films, Shahid Kapoor in a recent interview with a media publication said that the decision on the ‘Wherever, whatever, however’ of Mira's acting plans will completely be her decision. Shahid also said that since they welcomed a child in the first year itself and the second one in the next two years, she didn’t have much time for herself. The Kabir Singh actor termed Mira as a ‘committed mother’, completely involved with motherhood.  Stating that she is ‘just 25,’ Shahid then shared that in the next year or so, a major responsibility related to the nurturing of their kids would be completed. He added that she’d then have ‘all her life’ to figure things out for herself. The 38-year-old added that she has the freedom to choose what she wants to do going forward.

Mira enjoys immense popularity on Instagram, with a fan following of 2.1 million. She is the more active among the couple, and the posts involving their children, Misha and Zain are lapped up by the netizens.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor delivered the biggest solo hit of his career with Kabir Singh earlier this year, which is still the highest-grossing film for this year, earning around Rs 285 crore at the domestic box office. Shahid, however, has not announced his next, though reports of him doing the Jersey remake are doing the rounds.
