Munjya Box Office Collection Day 2: Sharvari Starrer Witnesses A Major Growth, Mints ₹6.75 Crore

Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma starrer Munjya is enjoying a great run at the box office. The movie opened at ₹4.21 crore at the domestic box office. On the second day, the movie showed considerable growth, leaving everyone surprised. It is the fourth film of Maddock Supernatural Universe after Stree, Roohi and Bhediya.

As per reported by Sacnilk, the horror-comedy earned ₹6.75 crore on Saturday (June 9). Munjya had an overall 30.99 per cent Hindi occupancy on the second day with the maximum reported in Chennai (59 per cent). Adding the second-day collection, the movie has crossed ₹10 crore club and minted ₹10.96 crore.
After seeing the first-day collection, the makers released a press note celebrating the milestone. "This record-breaking collection for a film with no A-list actors is a testament to the power of a captivating story and the brilliance of CGI technology. Munjya has sprung the biggest surprise in the industry, setting the stage for a remarkable box office run,” it read.
Seeing the Saturday collection, the box office numbers are expected to rise on Sunday.
The movie is helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films. The film centres on the legend of Munjya, inspired by Indian folklore and mythology.
What else do we know about Munjya?
Apart from Sharvari and Abhay, the movie also stars Mona Singh and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. The story revolves around a young man named Bittu (played by Abhay) who visits his native village to learn a family secret and a vengeful spirit, Munjya, who wants to get married. Now the young man must fight to protect himself and his love from Munjya's clutches leading to a humorously chaotic and terrifying adventure.
