Nana Patekar is a popular actor, writer, a philanthropist and also a filmmaker. He has mostly worked in Hindi cinemas. He made his acting debut in Bollywood in the 1978 drama Gaman. After his first movie, he was seen working in many other movies. He also portrayed the role of a gangster in Parinda which released in the year 1989. Nana Patekar also won the National Film Award for his role in Parinda. He later made his directorial debut with 1994 film Prahaar: The Final Attack. Patekar worked as a gangster in comedy film Welcome and its sequel Welcome Back the two films were declared as highest-grossing hits. He also has a slew of Marathi movies under his belt.

The movie has been directed by famous actor Mahesh Manjrekar.

2. Dr. Prakash Baba Amte
Released in the year 2014, the movie is a biopic based on the real-life inspirational of Dr. Prakash Amte who is the son of social worker Baba Amte and his wife Mandakini Amte. Dr. Prakash Baba Amte devoted his life towards the development and upliftment of the tribal people the forests of eastern Maharashtra. The movie received positive reviews from the audience. 3. Pak Pak Pakaak
This movie is the story of a mischevious boy who lives with his grandmother in a village. The village is believed to be haunted by the ghost known as Bhutya. The boy later meets Bhutya, who changes the boy and his character. The movie shows a bonding between Chikhloo whose role is portrayed by Saksham Kulkarni while Nana Patekar plays Bhutya. The movie released in 2005 and was reportedly loved by the audience in all age groups, from kids to grown-ups.

4. Aapla Manus
The movie released in 2018, also featured Sumeet Raghavan and Iravati Harshe alongside Nana Patekar. The movie is a mystery film directed by Satish Rajwade and produced by Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan. In the movie, Nana Patekar is seen as a Crime Branch Inspector. Aapla Manus is the adaptation of the Marathi play Katkon Trikon by Dr. Vivek Bele.
