Nana Patekar opens up about working on his comeback Hindi film The Vaccine War
Nana Patekar, with Vivek Agnihotri's The Vaccine War, will be making his comeback in the Hindi film industry after a gap of nearly 6 years.

Nana Patekar is currently gearing up for his next film titled The Vaccine War. The film is helmed by Vivek Agnihotri and will feature Nana playing the role of former ICMR Director General Dr. Balram Bhargava. During an interview with ANI, the actor opened up about his role and talked about his working experience with the director.

Nana Patekar shares his work experience with Vivek Agnihotri
During the interview, Nana Patekar talked about his role in The Vaccine War and what went through while making the vaccine for COVID-19. He said, "I am playing the role of Dr Balram Bhargava and this entire movie is about the Covaxin vaccine that we made. It is all about what we went through while making this vaccine. During Covid-19, we all were scared and sab kuch andhere mein teer marne jaisa tha." Further talking about his working experience with Vivek Agnihotri, the actor said, "An artist should be like a general store. The director is like the customer. You should possess whatever he or she demands."

Nana Patekar wasn't very active in Hindi films especially after actress Tanushree Dutta accused him of sexual harrasment. The actress pulled Nana's name during the MeToo movement. She had also allegedly filed an FIR against the Welcome actor in 2008.
Vivek Agnihotri talks about his film
Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri on Tuesday claimed his directorial The Vaccine War will "expose the usual suspects" who tried to sabotage the development of an indigenous vaccine during the COVID-19 pandemic for their political agenda. The film, according to the director, is India's "first ever bio-science" movie. It is based on the true story of Indian scientists in their fight against COVID-19 by developing an affordable vaccine for India and the world, he added.
