National Film Awards 2023: R Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect wins Best Feature Film

The winner of the 69th National Film Awards was announced today (August 24) at an event in Delhi. The panel has announced R Madhavan starrer Rocketry: The Nambi Effect as the Best Feature Film.
Rocketry was headlined by Madhavan, who had also written and produced the film. The biographical drama is based on the life of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely accused of selling confidential information to foreign entities, and how he eventually fought back.

List of other films that have won National Awards are Sardar Udham (Best Hindi Film), Chello Show (Best Gujarati Film), 777 Charlie (Best Kannada Film), Home (Best Malayalam Film), Ekda Kay Zala (Best Marathi Film), Uppenna (Best Telugu Film) and Kadaisi Vivasayi (Best Tamil Film).
National Film Awards 2023: List of other winners
Meanwhile, the National Film Award for best director went to Nikhil Mahajan for Marathi film Godavari. Pankaj Tripathi was named best supporting actor for Mimi and Pallavi Joshi the best supporting actress for The Kashmir Files. The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, also won the Nargis Dutt Award for best film on national integration.

The award for best popular film providing wholesome entertainment went to the Telugu version of the multilingual film RRR.
The National Awards for 2021 were announced by filmmaker Ketan Mehta who headed the 11-member jury.
