The iconic dialogues from the hit Netflix show, Sacred Games, by Nawazuddin Siddiqui are now a part of today's pop culture. Due to his charisma, Siddiqui, the last 7 years, has emerged as one of Bollywood's most versatile and bankable actors. He first started out by doing small roles in films such as 'Sarfarosh', 'Munnabhai M.B.B.S', 'Black Friday', among other films. Since 2012, the actor has made his magnetic screen presence felt with the films he has been doing. Here, we take a look at the top three films of the Sacred Games star. 

Kabhi Kabhi Lagta Hai Ki Apun Hi Bhagwan Hai

1. Manjhi: The Mountain Man (2015)

Directed by Ketan Mehta, the film released in 2015. Based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi, widely known as the 'Mountain Man', the film starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Manji, while Radhika Apte played his wife, Phaguniya. The film showcased the journey of Manjhi, a poor labourer in Bihar, who carved a path 9.1 meters (30 ft) wide and 110 meters (360 ft) long through a hill 7.6 meters (25 ft) high, using only a hammer and chisel. Upon release, many critics acclaimed Nawazuddin's performance, with some of them calling it as his career's best.

2. Gangs of Wasseypur (2012)

This was a two-part film, co-written, produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap. Set in the town of Dhanbad in Jharkhand, the film was a revenge saga that narrated a violent tale of power, influence, and money amongst the various criminal families. Featuring an ensemble cast, that had actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Richa Chaddha, Pankaj Tripathi amongst others, the film was released in two parts. Nawazuddin was lauded by critics and audiences for his now-iconic role as Faizal Khan.

3. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)

Nawazuddin has worked with several big names in Bollywood in his career, including the three Khans. The role that he essayed in Kabir Khan's 2015 blockbuster, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that won him the most acclaim, sharing screen with Salman Khan. Produced by Salman Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan also starred Kareena Kapoor. The story of a naive Hindu simpleton, who is tasked with ensuring the safe return of a small Pakistani girl who is lost India became an instant box office hit. Nawazuddin was cast in the role of a small-time TV reporter Chand Nawab, who helps them on their journey. Chand Nawab was based on a real-life Pakistani news reporter, and Nawazuddin received critical acclaim for his role.

Nawazuddin will be next seen in the Diwali release of the Housefull series, Housefull 4. He will be seen with Athiya Shetty in the film, Motichoor Chaknachoor. Nawazuddin will also star in his next Netflix show, 'Serious Men'. He will be seen playing the role of a rapper in his brother, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui's 'Bole Chudiyan', opposite Tamannaah Bhatia.
