Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an Indian actor, who has made his own niche in Bollywood with his hard-work and talent. - As Faizal Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur (2012): When Gangs of Wasseypur released it made quite a stir. Nawazzudin had a meaty role in the film and he did complete justice to it. His dialogue ‘Sabka badla lega re tera faizal’ became iconic. The film did exceedingly well at the box-office and Nawazuddin’s character Faizal became his identity. He essayed a goons character effortlessly and made an impact with his first full-fledged negative role.
- As Tehmur in Talaash (2012): Even though the Aamir Khan starrer didn’t do well at the box-office, Nawazuddin’s performance as a differently-abled man in the film became memorable. He essayed the role of an opportunist who turns into a criminal due to his greed for money. Siddiqui’s performance in the film was impeccable and was admiringly appreciated by the critics.
- As Shiv Gajra in Kick (2014): Nawazuddin Siddiqui was pitted against the superstar Salman Khan in his first big-budget commercial movie. Nawaz was playing a ruthless don turned businessman. The way he got into the skin of Shiv Gajra’s character was astounding. In fact, his roguish laughter became quite a trend then. His performance was highly lauded by the audience.
- As Liak in Badlapur (2015): Badlapur is remembered for two things. First Varun Dhawan’s essaying a serious character for the first time. Second for Nawazddin’s unbelievable dialogue delivery and outstanding performance. Liak was a negative character but Nawaz managed to give it an interesting twist. By adding some comic elements to his role. The film was a massive hit and added another feather to Nawazuddin’s hat.
- Ganesh Gaitonde in the Sacred Games Series (2018-2019): When Nawazuddin Siddiqui transformed into Gangster Ganesh Gaitonde he conquered the world with his brilliant performance. Before Sacred Games, reportedly Netflix wasn’t so popular in India, but with Sacred Games, tables were turned. Nawaz's performance in the show gave him global recognition.
