From the lanes of Uttar Pradesh, a dreamer has emerged never stopped giving his all. Nawazuddin Siddiqui arrived in Mumbai, and unlike millions of others, he managed to thrive. Known for playing challenging characters smoothly, Nawazuddin has earned recognition for Talaash, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, And, we can never forget his classic role in the Gangs Of Wasseypur series that made him immortal in Bollywood. Not many know that before making a mark in Bollywood, he had to make both ends meet during his days of struggle. In this time, he has done several small roles in films that we may have easily missed out on.
1. Munna Bhai MBBS (2003)
In this must-watch film, Nawazuddin did a cameo. Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Munna Bhai MBBS was a hit at the box office. He had the pleasure of working with the late actor, Sunil Dutt in this one. Nawazuddin Siddiqui had a blink and miss role in this Sanjay Dutt starrer. He played a pickpocket in a scene in the film who Sunil Dutt catches red-handed at the railway station.

2. Dev-D (2009)
This new-age rendition of Devdas, Dev-D is one of the best films of Anurag Kashyap. This critically-acclaimed project is known for its brilliant songs, including Emotional Atyachaar. Who knew the Harish Band had Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sunil Grover as their lead singers? A lot of people still are unaware of know who were the two men who left the audience’s feet tapping for years - that includes our very own Nawazuddin!

3. New York (2009)
Nawazuddin Siddiqui played a victim called Zilgai in the movie New York, which was based on the 9/11 attacks on the twin towers in the city. Starring John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh, the film got mixed reviews from the audiences. While Nawazuddin’s role lasted only for two minutes in which he plays a detainee sharing his experience, his monologue was worth applauding.

4. Sarfarosh (1999)
His debut in one of the superhit Bollywood movies, Sarfarosh was a side role. According to the sources, he earned a meagre amount of Rs. 500 for his one-minute criminal role in the film. It was a surprising moment for Aamir Khan when Nawazuddin Siddiqui told him about his presence in Sarfarosh during the shoot of Talaash. Back then, nobody would have thought that Siddiqui would become a superstar someday.
