After graduating in science from a local college, Nawazuddin Siddiqui worked as a chemist in a petrochemical company. Later, he shifted to Delhi, where he joined the ‘Sakshi Theatre Group’, where he got the opportunity to work with ace actors like Manoj Bajpayee and Saurabh Shukla. The actor graduated from National School of Drama, after which he bagged a small role in the Aamir Khan-starrer, Sarfarosh. Nawazuddin Siddiqui went unnoticed in nearly 20 movies before he shot to fame with his portrayal of archetypal cop in the Vidya Balan-starrer, Kahaani. After the success of Kahaani, Nawazuddin Siddiqui released a series of hits like Gangs of Wasseypur and its sequel.
