Nawazuddin Siddiqui, also kwn as Nawaz, is considered to be one of most sought-after actors in industry and a luminary with a classic rags-to-riches story who has come a long way in film industry. From a chemist and a watchman to one of most in-demand actors, his story is less than a Bollywood film story itself. He has established a high st for himself with his films and his most-applauded role of Ganesh Gaitonde in popular Indian web series, Sacred Games. However, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been a part of some popular Hindi films, before Gangs of Wasseypur, where he went unticed.

1. Sarfarosh (1999)
Although t as a le role, Sarfarosh was Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Bollywood debut. In Aamir Khan’s Sarfarosh, Nawaz essayed role of a criminal in custody of cops. Aamir’s character meets him in jail to gar some information regarding a raid he was involved in. Reportedly, it was during shooting of Talash that Nawaz reminded Aamir Khan about his appearance in Sarfarosh and how it was ir first meet.

2. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003)
Nawazuddin Siddiqui played role of a pickpocket petty criminal in Rajkumar Hirani’s Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. in 2003. He shows up in a scene when Munna (Sanjay Dutt) pretends to be a doctor in front of his parents. Sanjay Dutt's character is called out by Nawaz’s character as being a goon and t a doctor. However, Nawaz’s character ends up getting thrashed by Munna’s gang in a comic scene that is a must-watch.

3. Black Friday (2004)
Nawaz me an appearance in Anurag Kashyap’s crime-drama Black Friday. film was based on a true story of Mumbai bomb blasts in 1993. He played role of Asgar Mukam, who was involved in acts of terror. character in this film paved yet ar powerful way for Nawaz. film’s plot is about investigations following 1993 bombings told through different stories of different people.

4. Dev D (2009)
In 2009, he appeared in a cameo role in song Emotional Attyachar in movie Dev D. One of singers in song was ne or than Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It is said that here is where his cameo appearances started and he became more ticeable. Dev D is an Indian romantic black comedy-drama film. It was written and directed by Anurag Kashyap.
