NEET, JEE Main 2020: Sonu Sood urges govt to 'postpone exams for 60 days'

The ongoing protest by the students of JEE and NEET demanding postponement/ cancelation of exams received support from Bollywood actor Sonu Sood.

ongoing protest by students of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) demanding cancellation or postponement of examination, received support from actor Sonu Sood. Voicing his support on same, Sonu shared a post on Twitter where he urged government to think about ir decision of conducting exams. Dabangg actor wrote that this is t just exams of students, but an "examination of government" too.

Sonu Sood requests to postpone NEET and JEE exams

Furr, actor urged concerned authorities to rethink ir decision as he feels that government can excel by postponing JEE and NEET examination for 60 days. At last, actor explained that during this time period, students can prepare hard for examination and can score well. Apart from this, actor shared ar post on micro-blogging site while elucidating upon fact that it’s youth of any country that shapes future of that nation.

In post, Sonu Sood wrote that strength of youth is future of tomorrow of nation is future of country. actor furr mentioned that it’s responsibility of people to channelize ir talent and strength to put it on positive forces. At last, Entertainment actor wrote that if students are trying to reach out to government n re is thing wrong with fact because, in end, decision will be made If in interest of student.

This is t first stand of actor towards growing protest of students for postponement of JEE and NEET examination. Earlier, on August 25, actor had shared a post on Twitter to express his opinion on ongoing controversy. Sood asserted that 'postponing' exams would be in favour of children who come from 'remote areas'. He wrote, " children who appear for examination come from remote areas. If re is a flood in some vills in Bihar, n re is a complete arrest in any district. Yes, examination is necessary but protection of those young shoulders is equally important. When everything has come to a halt in front of nature, n exams should also be postponed for some time"

Amid soaring coronavirus cases, it is believed that if examinations are conducted n lives of around 25 lakh candidates will be at risk. students have argued that with evidence of virus being airborne, conducting an exam of such a magnitude will only result in a disaster. Parents are equally worried and have argued that with huge crowds, social distancing will naturally take a backseat, especially with amount of stress and anxiety that aspirants will be going through.
