Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who has been very open about the time he fell prey to substance abuse, recently joined hands with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to fight against drug addiction.

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who has been very open about time he fell prey to substance abuse, recently joined hands with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to fight against drug diction. actor started a campaign called 'Drug-Free India campaign' to uproot drug abuse from country. He took to Twitter on Sunday, February 10, and anunced initiative. He said that he always wanted to do something to ericate drug diction and this initiative is first step towards that. Recalling time he struggled with diction, Dutt said that he has learnt a lesson from same and w wants to help youth of our country.
Sharing a picture of himself featured in poster of campaign, he wrote, "I always wanted to do something to uproot drug diction from India. #DrugFreeIndia campaign is a step towards that! Because of my personal experiences, it's a cause very close to my heart & I want to help youth of our country. Thank you @SriSri guruji for your support"

Moreover, in a recent interview, Dutt reportedly opened up about his plans to join a nationwide campaign designed to fight against drug abuse. As per media reports, actor reportedly revealed that campaign will be organized at educational campuses in Chandigarh and Hisar on February 18 and 19 respectively. campaign is planned to eng 25000 students on campus, and thousands of students will be able to watch its live brocast. Media reports suggest that idea behind initiative dates back to 2016 when actor and some of his friends approached Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to guide m along way.
actor previously in several instances opened up about his struggles coming out of diction. He said that it is easy to get sucked into drug abuse, but very difficult to get out of it. Even his biopic 'Sanju', starring Ranbir Kapoor in titular role, narrated his struggles to do away with drug diction.
