Sona Mohapatra posted a long open letter on her Twitter account to Sony TV and Media addressing the reinstating of Anu Malik as a judge on the reality TV show Indian Idol. Neha Bhasin, who had also talked about being a victim of Anu Malik's sexual assault, retweeted Sona's tweet and recalled her own experience in a series of tweets.

At the end of these series of tweets, Neha said that she has always complained about these advances thinking that she will get justice. She talked about how a woman is just made for being a mother, sister, or sister-in-law. She ended with the question of what a man's role is:
