Nupur Shikhare jogs to wedding venue, ties the knot with Aamir Khan's daughter Ira in athleisure

Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan got married to her fiance Nupur Shikhare in an intimate wedding ceremony. The newlywed's wedding took place in Mumbai and it was attended by their family and close friends including Aamir, Reena Dutt and Kiran Rao. The video from the wedding has gone viral on the internet.

Nupur Shikhare and Ira Khan are now man and wife

The first video that emerged from Ira and Nupur's wedding ceremony, showcased the groom signing the official marriage papers. In the video, Ira can be seen in a lehenga set while Nupur skips the sherwani for D-Day and opts for an athleisure outfit - a black vest and beige shorts. It is the same outfit, he was snapped while he jogged with the baraat to the venue. 

In the background, we can see Aamir Khan, Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao and Nupur’s mother in traditional ensembles. The video also offered a glimpse of the wedding venue which was packed with the guests.

In another viral video, Aamir can be seen welcoming Mukesh and Nita Ambani inside the wedding venue. He can be seen hugging and welcoming them with folded hands.

A viral video showed Nupur and his mother can be seen dancing to dhol beats. The mother-son duo can be surrounded by his family and friends.

Meanwhile, Ira and Nupur's pre-wedding festivities began in November with the Kelvan ceremony, a Marathi ritual. The families of the bride and groom invite each other for meals and exchange gifts in this ceremony. It was followed by the haldi and mehendi ceremonies on January 2.

Nupur proposed to Ira during a triathlon in Italy in September 2022, followed by an official engagement party in Mumbai in December 2022 attended by Aamir Khan, Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao and Fatima Sana Sheikh, among others.
